-Database development, maintenance and upgrades
-Responsible for database backups
-Refine physical design to meet system storage requirements.
-Establish user access and security, monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front end users.
-Control access permissions, priviledges.
-Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance, stability and reliability of the database.
-Provide Proactive Monitoring of databases and automation of health check.
-Writing PL/SQL packages and reviewing the developer queries.
-Evaluate tools and make recommendations to management.
-Additionally, carry a Blackberry or IPhone which allows immediate response to emergencies at all times 24/7/365 except vacations.
Requirements:
-3+ years database administration and optimization with Oracle Databases
-Oracle 11g experience on Linux servers including ASM and RMAN is a must
-Oracle 11G RAC is a plus.
-Must have strong technical and functional knowledge of SQL.
-Oracle DBA certification highly-preferred.
-Excelent knowledge of Query Analyzer and Oracle Enterprise Manager
-Experience with Oracle replication (basic replication & materialized view) is a plus.
