Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Accounting function and for Accounting service delivery in Romania;
• Implementation of global strategy, footprint, budget allocation and scope of Accounting services in area of responsibility;
• Implementation of global framework and structure for organization including assigned responsibilities/competencies and defined minimum requirements for global function profiles and global roles;
• Implementation of global business process catalogue blue print for accounting including minimum requirements regarding segregation of duties;
• Implementation of global standards for accounting related systems, system based processes and system based procedures (system blue print);
• Feedback and alignment regarding needed localization of global standards;
• BITAL - Requester for Accounting (BITAL = Business IT Alignment);
• Ensures and reviews compliance with global standards for accounting, accounting related external and internal rules and regulations, segregation of duties, internal controls and key controls for area of responsibility;
• Ensures and reviews quality of financial reporting;
• Continuous improvement of organization, systems & processes for area of responsibility;
• Accounting budget adherence as well as responsibility for organizational efficiency for area of responsibility;
• Coordination of project work for area of responsibility;
• Coordinating a team of 30 employees / members;
• Traveling minimum once per month to the other sites in Romania
Required Skills:
• University Degree in business administration with specialization in accounting or audit (or similar);
• Advanced knowledge in commercial and company law as well as regarding relevant tax regulations;
• Certified Accountant (or similar);
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting firms or accounting departments preferably in manufacturing industry;
• Leadership experience - at least 3 years of experience in direct management of teams;
• Very good English language skills;
• Advanced MS Office user;
• High level of IFRS, local GAAP and (cost) accounting know-how;
• High affinity to ERP systems (especially SAP), knowledge of related modules (FI, CO, EC, MM, SD, PS, SEM, GRC);
• Strong communication and leadership skills;
• Determined and results oriented person;
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a dynamic environment;
• Ability to work independently and proactively;
• Willingness and availability to travel.
