On behalf of our client, a market leading industrial concern, operating in the sectors of heat exchangers, industrial steel constructions and winter fighting equipment, we are looking for a Production Planner, for Brasov.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacture of industrial products: Draw up master schedule (into the ERP system) to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations (with the help of ERP system) to determine manufacturing processes, tools (if needed), and human resource requirements.
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, welding, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
- Ensure that all the data’s inserts into the ERP system are the correct ones.
- Ensure that the daily tasks are met without delays.
- Find solutions for efficiency improvement for the daily activities.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects/planned production.
- Collaborate with other departments in order to ensure a smooth flow in order to fulfill daily tasks.
- Ensure daily operations in QDA database are according with the to-do list.
- Inform customers in due time about delivery delays.
- Maintain and improve inventory instructions.
- Prepare different types of reports and ensure that data from the reports are right and valid.
- Ensure and perform stock adjustments together with the stock responsible.
- Participate in project meetings for the new products (NPI’s).
- May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
- May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
- 3 years of experience in a production planning position.
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial working environment.
- Ability to read/write/speak English at least at medium level.
- Experience of reading technical documentations.
- Sense of responsibility.
- High level of self-motivation required.
- Good organization abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP system.
- Availibility to travel, when required
