POSITION SUMMARY:
The Java Software Architect will be part of iQuest TELCO business unit, which delivers value added services to mobile operators and connected businesses. The Java Software Architect will have the opportunity to design technical solutions for projects with high quality expectations and challenging deadlines, for mobile operators around the world. He/she will have to leverage a wide range of technologies in order to cope with dynamic customer environments and high performance expectations.
RESPONSABILITIES:
As a Java Software Architect in the area of TELCO at iQuest Technologies, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Technical consultancy and solution proposal during presales
• Technical assessment and ownership of technical solution
• Long-term, strategic thinking when designing technical solutions
• Effort estimations
• Communication within the team and with the key stakeholders in order to find the optimal technical solution
• Monitoring the development activities in order to meet the architectural objectives
• Keeping up to date with state of the art technologies and Telecom domain knowledge
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the professional community
ECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Ability to define the system architecture based on Java technologies, possibly with interfaces to components developed in other technologies (e.g. C++, databases), for solutions running on Linux or Unix operating systems
• Excellent understanding of architectural dependencies and of Java based technologies
• Ability to integrate various subsystems into one cohesive solution and build up the needed infrastructure
• Excellent knowledge of software methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
• Excellent knowledge of the whole software development lifecycle
• Requirements gathering (functional and non-functional)
