The candidate will be based in Bucharest and will be responsible for supporting Application estate of the Company.
IT Application support will provide basic support for COTS (common off the shelf) and bespoke business applications.
This is a broad role, which will see the candidate providing generic application support across a wide range of systems.
This is not an application development role.
This role will investigate application incidents and problems and liaise with application providers for third line support, provide training for new applications, create installation guides and documentation.
Occasionally they will work with business units to understand requirements for additional functionality and work alongside partners to provide a solution.
Main tasks include:
Provide administration for common applications MS Office 2007, MS Sharepoint (Intranet)
Provide and administration and support for Company applications, HR, Finance and Practice Management (training will be provided)
Provide an interface between the business and application providers
Create documentation for applications, installation and user guides
Manage and maintain MS Office 2007 templates
Provide capacity management across the applications by liaising with infrastructure support teams
Provide training for new joiners or to existing staff on new applications
Escalate issues appropriately
Mainly strong VBA and VBscript for MS office 2007 skills
Mainly Sharepoint 2007 administration experience
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL advantageous
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL reporting advantageous
Confident when working with the business
Understanding of client server technology
Ability to approach the role from the eyes of the business
Ability to manage and set expectation with suppliers
Awareness of Citrix Presentation Server and its capabilities
Understanding of IT infrastructure technology concepts
Have a structured approach and follow ITIL processes – change control, planned maintenance
Experience in a similar application support role
At least 4 years experience in IT (previous experience of IT in a law firm, IT support experience or relevant technical qualifications are an advantage)
Team Player
Strong Documentation skills
High school education (University degree or ITIL Foundation certificate are an advantage)
Excellent knowledge of English (Czech or any other Eastern European language such as Hungarian, Romanian or Slovak are an advantage)
Excellent telephone manner
Good communication skills
