Primary Purpose:
This role requires an experienced CAD Draughtsperson / Technician / Engineer who is skilled and proficient in drawings for Audio Visual Systems and Data Networking. You will need to produce electrical and illustrated detailed drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams. You will have an excellent eye for detail and produce drawings quickly and with ease.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Visio from mark-ups, verbal communication or written direction provided by engineers in the following disciplines: audio visual and telecommunications, mechanical, electrical and Voice Alarm.
• Maintain CAD standards put in place by the PM Department and report issues to PM Department. Drafting and design work being done for an engineer will be under supervision of the Engineer, Project Manager and/or Group Leader.
• Produce graphs, charts, overlays, isometric and perspective drawings, insertion of blocks, schedules and details from specification sheets or directly from within the CAD platforms.
• Other duties include cutting/trimming of plans, photocopying, plotting, and scanning.
Essential
minimum 2 years within this field of AV
• Excellent audio visual product knowledge
• Min 2 Years industry or associated industry (within an AV environment) experience.
• English language at the communication level
• Prior experience with drafting markups.
• Knowledge of Voice Alarm systems and regulations to EN54
.
Desirable
• Experience with BricsCAD
• Knowledge of Room Acoustics
• excellent understanding of electrical and wiring standards
• Able to read and write in German; French is an advantage
