As part of the ETCS (European Train Control System) test team you will have the opportunity to work with experts from Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin) in a very dynamic and complex environment; you will also be responsible for testing the ETCS Level2 software products like Radio Block Centre and On Board System.
Job summary
Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, including:
* Specification of Test Cases on Requirements basis;
* Implementation of Test Cases for module test and subsystem test. Writing of test programs and test data;
* Automation of Test Cases;
* Execution of manual and automated tests;
* Support of test environments, tools and simulation;
* Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress);
* Test documentation;
* Regular test reporting.
The tests will be performed in close co-operation with experts from Thales Germany.
Professional competencies
Education
* Technical study of computer science, transportation, mathematics, physics, cybernetics or similar
Requested technical competences:
* Ability to understand and interpret product specifications
* Knowledge of computer networks fundamentals
* Good problem solving and diagnostic skills
* Basic knowledge of Linux
Would be a plus:
* Script Languages (Shell utilities - perl, awk, sed)
* Programming: Java / C/ C++, Ruby, Groovy, XML
* Knowledge of ClearQuest, Doors, Version Control Software
* Experience in Railway Business
* Testing of complex software systems under usage of technical means like simulators and scripting languages

* Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
* Fluency in English
