What you'll do:
- Write code. We're looking for really good system programmers.
- Solve site scaling and availability challenges across multiple functions.
- Design, code and maintain high performance infrastructure for distributed applications.
- Find and fix bugs, performance and reliability issues.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of our development and ongoing deployment process.
- You are an knowledgeable, experienced and skilled senior programmer.
- You are a full-stack engineer. You understand the end-to-end lifecycle of a web request from browser to database, and are comfortable writing code at any point in this stack.
- You are an expert in Php and MySql.
- You have demonstrated skill and enthusiasm for learning about and applying new technologies and open source packages when appropriate.
- You write clean, modular and testable code.
Bonus Points:
- Academic background in engineering, computer science, math, physics or other science.
- Experience with replication and sharding.
- Experience with any of the following: NGINX, Symfony 1.4, RabbitMQ, Node.js, Supervisor and Memcached.
- Experience in building and maintaining a large scale, high volume system.
