Backup server management (installation, configuration, policy update, data migration)
Node/ Job management (settings, scheduling, updates)
Media management (space reclamation and scratch pool management, physical errors on media)
Library management (HW problems troubleshooting, ITS calls)
SAN management
Support for operational teams (restores, on demand backups)
Performing/monitoring database backup and recovery.
Ensure the integrity of the client’s data and back-ups
Work with international teams in different projects
Document system configuration, processes, procedures, etc.
Candidate must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to prioritize issues appropriately.
Team player with a strong work ethic that can operate with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
Very good spoken and written English skills
At least 1-2 year experience in a similar position
Ongoing desire to stay current with the latest technologies.
Skills:
Experience with server administration: Windows 2003 /Windows 2008 /Windows 2012 / Unix /Linux
Scripting experience
Familiar with back-up technologies: IBM TSM, VEEAM, EMC Avamar, EMC Networker etc.
Familiar with SAN technology
Strong analytical, problem solving
Certifications would be a plus
