eMAG is looking for a Business Analyst with strong background in software development industry to drive a good collaboration with the software development team in order to define business requirements for our products.
Responsibilities
• Works closely with the Product Owner, Business Users, Business Intelligence teams in order to bring to surface relevant data, via reports and dashboards, that allows people inside the company to act on all opportunities and create major business value
• Gathers business requirements and translate them into written specifications
• Provides accurate and insightful analyses leading on the design of the agreed output in mock-ups
• Goes through the business specifications of reports with developers, gathers and incorporates their feedback
• Is highly involved in each project to be launched in order to accommodate the new data in reports as agreed
• Creates documentation of reports and defines a glossary of business data / terms
• Conducting user training, user support and appropriate support
• Self-motivated, proactive;
• Has a constructive approach to problems;
• Can do attitude
• Capable of understanding very fast business processes and what is relevant in terms of business growth
• Open to new approaches
• Eye for detail, capable of spotting flaws in processes and data inconsistencies
• Excel Skills are a plus
• University degree in a quantitative academic discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, cybernetics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of working experience in business intelligence, ideally within a very large data set environment
• Experience of working within structured and agile project environments
• Candidates must have hands on experience with gathering business requirements, documenting the reporting and analysis specifications
• Ability to translate business problems into quantitative analyses and produce useful insights
• Basic knowledge of SQL relational databases
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
