We are looking for a C developer with experience in developing POSIX applications using the GNU tool-chain. Solid knowledge of network programming (socket API) is required.
Your tasks will consist of:
Design, Implementation/Coding and Unit test (automated test cases)
Application maintenance and bug fixing
Documentation
Regular progress reporting
The development will be performed in close co-operation with experts in Austria.
Education:
Computer science graduates (Automatics and Computers, Informatics or Cybernetics)
Requested technical competencies:
Expert in the C programming language (including: socket programming)
Experience in development of applications in Linux environment
Very good knowledge of POSIX
Very good knowledge of synchronization and multi-threaded programming
Very good knowledge of the GNU toolchain
Knowledge of at least one scripting language (bash, perl, python, other)
Communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, X.25, HDLC, ....)
Preferred technical competencies:
ClearQuest or other bug reporting tools
SVN, Clearcase or other versioning system
Experience with development lifecycle
Personal competencies
Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
Team-working
Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
