We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, motivated DevOps Engineer who can help us bridge the gap between development and production as well as have a firm grip on the management of our web infrastructure in an Agile environment.
Knowledge & Skills
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is able to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Is able to code and script
• Has experience with systems and IT operations
• Is comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Has a strong focus on business outcomes
• Is comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
• Can manage and monitor production environments; follow, understand, support and optimize our agile operations process (Kanban)
• Will focus on lowering the mean time between having ideas and making stuff happen
• Experience infrastructure management, designing, implementing and scaling distributed web solutions;
• Performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Continuous integration/ delivery/ deployment
• Knowledge of web security and understanding of networking protocols and services like TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, DNS, LDAP, Load balancing.
• Knowledge of Linux / Windows
• Good understanding of NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, redis, memcache
• Good knowledge of one or more of Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, Node.js, AngularJS, bash, C#, Java;
