The IAM Demand Analyst is responsible to generate the rolling demand plan (as input for the SIOP - Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process) based on the market data, past order history using statistical tools and working closely with the IAM (Independent Aftermarket) Sales Team.
Responsible for providing accurate IAM (Independent Aftermarket) as well as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and OES (Original Equipment Supplier) forecasts for 12 to 22 months by looking at the past orders history, at market data to understand trends and opportunities, by following ongoing orders level from distributors and by closely working with the Sales Team on market changes.
Use statistical forecast to validate demand plan and to ranges for the forecast; track market info (like distributor turbo inventory level, GiPA park level, IHS Automotive & LMC Automotive forecast data on vehicle sales and production, Polk new registrations data …) and incorporate it into the demand plan; support critical business processes (AOP - Annual Operating Plan, STRAP - Strategic Plan) working with the IAM Sales Team to achieve the most accurate demand plan.
Drive improvements to forecast accuracy for both short and long term by working with Sales Managers to develop action plan around the top offenders and follow the implementation of the agreed actions.
Monitor forward order demand data, produce statistics and highlight variances; track weekly demand changes for the SC short term demand reviews.
Act as IAM interface with the Supply Chain team on forecast issues. Provide information for the weekly and monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process.
Periodically analyze part number sales trends and propose changes to the stocking strategy within the stock target agreed with European Supply Chain.
Create/maintain master data in the SAP APO system; interface with the IT team on system issues in SAP APO to ensure accurate demand plan info is sent to SAP R3. Keep the system clean of non-active applications and ensure past shipments are in line with SAP R3.
Act as a Key User for Demand Planning in SAP APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer) system, training and supporting team members in the use of the system. Coordinates with IT implementation of new systems or updates to the existing ones.
Provide updates in order demand data, analysis on the demand trend changes; discuss/agree the inventory (both internal and at dealers) levels, market trends & opportunities, new parts introduction into IAM product offering - daily.
Provide rolling demand updates for the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process; the input for the weekly SIOP including highlights in the demand changes with reasons for main variations - weekly.
Provide the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) rolling demand forecast to b built into the global HTT demand plan. Sahre info about the market trends, macro assumptions, leading indicators - weekly.
University degree level or proven experience in forecasting and data analysis.
Familiar with Supply Chain processes.
Familiar with SAP R3 and APO.
Analytical thinker with a logical approach to work.
Strong statistical analysis skills.
Able to work with large amount of data and draw conclusions.
High standards of quality and attention to detail.
Team player with strong communication skills (working remotely mainly).
Self motivated individual with strong bias for deadline achievement.
Languages: English minimum. Second European language is a plus.
