We are pleased to offer you an educational internship opportunity with Thales Systems Romania in the framework of the 2016 internship program.
We provide systems, solutions, equipment and services enhancing the safety and operational efficiency of railway networks.
You will work in projects that make a real difference to our everyday life. Part of a team of highly experienced software development engineers, you will support international projects in Germany and Austria.
This role will suit somebody who is a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the drive and ability to work both in a team and independently, somebody who is willing to share knowledge with colleagues and who has a basic understanding of a working environment.
Desired Technical Skills
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
• C/C++/Java programming
• OOD (Design Patterns) and UML, Rational UML tools
• Python, Pearl Scripting, Shell Scripting
• UNIX based operating system, GNU Toolchain
• Microcontrollers
• Communication protocols
• Virtualization techniques
Job Content
• Activities related to specification, design, implementation(coding) and unit/module testing
• Build and maintain the different internal products development & test environments
In this role you will gain experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Safety critical software development for the railway sector
• Awareness of Systems/Software Engineering & Product Lifecycles
• Provide high level technical support for software engineering environments
• Getting familiar with some of our broad range of technologies (microcontrollers programming, OOD, scripting, virtualization, LINUX, Eclipse RCP, test automation, etc)
• Involvement in Research programs
