What will your job be about?

The IT Sourcing Manager for Genpact is a position with large exposure in a multinational environment. This person is responsible for managing the contracts, the spend category, its international suppliers, internal stakeholders and the sourcing strategy. The assigned spend category constitutes significant opportunity to Genpact with global responsibility. Scope of the IT Sourcing Manager category includes the outsourcing of business and IT operations and responsibilities of specific business and IT processes as well the sourcing of projects and individual resources engaged in the design, development, implementation, support and/ or management and maintenance of business functions and computer-based information systems, both software as well as hardware.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develops global category strategy based on data analysis and market trends, prepares financial models, identifies opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings, and presents results to internal business partners.
• Manages IT/Telecom contracts with International suppliers for supply and support of Hardware/Software/Bandwidth etc. This would require working across diverse functions like IT/Legal/Finance/Taxation
• Negotiates with International/Domestic IT/Telecom suppliers on pan global basis. This would require negotiations for international bandwidth, domestic bandwidth in Europe, Software Licensing, Implementation of big IT/Telecom/Digitization projects
• Consolidation of the IT/Telecom requirements by closely working with the CIO and key stakeholders across various global entities. One should be able to work across diverse cultures/teams across the globe
• Identification of alternative suppliers for various IT/Telecom products
• Deriving Sourcing productivity and IT/Telecom cost reduction through consolidation, identification of alternative sources/technologies, working with various suppliers for customized solutions.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous relevant experience of 8-10 years is required; at least 3-4 years of IT/Telecom Sourcing and contract management with global IT/Telecom suppliers
• Exposure to imports/Customs/Taxation
• Exposure to working with global IT/Telecom suppliers like AT&T, BT, Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, HP, IBM, BEA, SUN
• Subject Matter Expertise (Reasonable understanding of IT/Telecom function and ability to relate the same with the commercials)
• Manages priorities and competing demands, with a sense of optimism, and ownership, effectively managing internal customer expectations.
• Shows thought leadership within assigned categories. Demonstrates the ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, and ensuring that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved
• Exceptional negotiations skills/ contract development skills / analysis skills
• Is results oriented, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy at global and cross-functional levels with strong strategic / long term planning skills
• Ability to work across diverse functions with no geographical restrictions, Open to traveling domestic/international (15%)

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Technical University or University of Economics / Business with minor in IT

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English (upper intermediate/ proficient)
