IT Subcontract Delivery Manager

RESPONSABILITATI

General:

- The Sub-Contract Delivery Manager (SDM) is a work package manager and responsible to deliver the complete sub-contracted "system element" in line with the technical specification and project objectives.

- He/she acts as a technical point of contact for sub-contractor and coordinates with systems engineering to derive the technical requirements and measure progress, deal with technical changes, issues and risks.

- The Subcontract Delivery Manager is the single point of contact with the Subcontractor and has the responsibility for the day to day management of Major Subcontractors ensuring that they deliver on time to cost and quality. It is the responsibility of the Subcontract Delivery Manager to ensure that any changes that are adapted as they occur throughout the Project lifecycle are handled with minimal impact and monitoring of all risks.

Responsabilities:


- Ensure active role on allocated line of work, during the full work package life cycle:

Selection:

- Prepare the Request For Quotation (RfQ)

- compile the SOW and provide Technical Specification to Sourcing and provide assistance to Sourcing during negotiations,

- provide advice during the Subcontractor Selection process,

- give aid in Contract Acceptance,

- act as the Single Point of Contact to the Subcontractor,

- carry the authority in the management of the Subcontractor,

- responsible for compiling the Statement of Work,

- responsible for ensuring that SOW and Technical Specifications are updated by the relevant, departments, and issuing to Sourcing for Contract Amendment and distribution,

Execution

- responsible for the day to day management and monitoring of the Subcontractors,

- responsible for agreeing the programme plan with the Subcontractor in accordance with the project deliverable requirements,

- responsible for mutually agreeing the Work Package with the Project Controller for onwards submission to sourcing,

- chair all Progress and Reviews (design etc) with the Subcontractor and attend Dry-run/Acceptance testing,

- sign off all invoices prior to payment,

- be present and be invited to appropriate Gate Reviews

- responsible for Dispute Resolution unless cannot be resolved at a working level, then passed to Sourcing.

- ensure project and risk management relay to the allocated line of work (work package).

Delivery

- responsible for delivery to the project on time to cost and quality.

- Ensuring that all appropriate documentation accompanies the Goods/services

- Shall responsible for resolving non compliances and provide support where possible to latent defects.

Contract Closure

- responsible for closing down the Subcontract and ensuring that all outstanding issues and observations are closed and all deliverables under the contract have been received.

- negotiate the Support contract with Sourcing and Support (to be reviewed to negotiated at contract award).

- handover Documentation

- provide a concise record and contract review to the Support Group for ongoing Management
