• Support the implementation of Information Technology to the hotel in accordance with company Information Technology strategies and priorities;
• Support and ensure business continuity in the hotel;
• Ensure that Information Technology standards and best practices are communicated, implemented and measured in the hotel.
• Assist measuring Information Technology costs, benefits and performance in the hotel.
• Assist in maximising opportunities to reduce IT costs through effective purchasing & negotiating maintenance contracts
• Ensure guest IT queries are managed to defined standards with minimal risks.
• Provide support with IT related queries for guests and team members.
• Ensure that standards and best practices are communicated, maintained and measured
• Ensure the hotel adopts and maintains brand standards for guests and business services in relation to IT services and offerings.
• Support the business in the preparation of contingency plans & coordinates the regular testing
• Provide IT support to other Hilton hotels when required.
• Ensure that hotel data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices
• Ensure Access Control is in line with stated standards and best practices
• Support managing the local process for issue management, enhancements and application fixes.
• Supports regular self-evaluation of IT practices are completed and communicated.
• Assist in local implementation projects
• Computer School or similar
• IT qualification / training
• At least 3 years practical working experience in a service orientated IT operation.
• Sound technical understanding of the management of IT in a service organisation.
• Ability to speak and write English (Business Level)
• Knowledge of the hospitality industry (preffered)
• Knowledge of job related technology i.e. Fidelio / Opera, Networking, Micros, Oracle Financials, Charisma, Sun.
