We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Team.
The Junior Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying, managing and monitoring the LAN/WAN network infrastructure while preserving the stability and fault tolerance of the network. You will be part of a challenging, yet rewarding environment and will have the chance of working with a great team of System and Network Administrators.
Responsibilities:
• Work on monitoring, configuration and optimization of our network
• Troubleshoot networking problems, involve into finding creative solutions together with senior members
• Collaborate with the team to insure that an incident's underlying problems are managed and solved
• Document existing network and maintain the documentation up to date
• Experience in designing, implementing, operating and troubleshooting complex data networks in a multi-data center environments
• Understanding of OSI layers
• Understanding of Ethernet and the surrounding technologies such as: MSTP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.1ad
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, policy-based routing, firewalls and DNS
• Working knowledge of Cisco Catalyst or Nexus switches
• Experience with Linux systems
• Good communication skills
Nice to have:
• Dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, MPLS and BGP
• Experience with Quality of Service in various data/voice network implementations
• Knowledge of Cisco’s IOS, NX-OS & IOS-XR, Juniper’s JunOS and other major network vendor platforms
• Knowledge of tunneling protocols such as: QinQ, GRE, IPSec
• Experience with Motorola and Cisco Wireless technologies
• Experience with VoIP and Asterisk PBX
• Experience with Puppet or other automation tools
