The Strategy team, formed five years ago, is at the heart of shaping the company’s future direction. The team acts an intelligence centre for the group, analysing the company’s environment (competitors, industry), its customers and its core processes and capabilities in order to:
* Identify, appraise and monitor individual investment opportunities;
* Model growth and group-wide investment and resourcing levels;
* Make recommendations for process improvements;
* Input on corporate marketing and company positioning;
* Carry out detailed studies and thought leadership;
* Educate and assist sales people in how to communicate the value of our software to banks.
At present, there are 5 people within this team, with 4 of them based in London and one in Romania. As part of this small team, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a market leading company in one of the most interesting and dynamic sectors of the economy, working closely with various departments across the company.
This role would suit a person looking for an intellectually challenging role, which will afford an accelerated insight and global overview of how strategy drives value creation.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Building and maintaining competitor intelligence and financial models;
* Tracking news flows, industry trends and metrics;
* Global macroeconomic analysis;
* Assist in researching for whitepapers and customer case studies;
* Prepare presentations on economy, industry, competition for senior management to aid in strategic decision making;
* Liaising with sales people on reasons why tenders were won or lost.
* University degree (Economics, Finance or Business preferred but will consider any discipline);
* Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required;
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence;
* Marked intellectual curiosity and willing to take initiative;
* Ability to work both in a team and independently;
* Strong commercial sense;
* 1-2 years minimum working in a multi-national corporate environment;
* Strong organisational skills;
* Knowledge of accounting / financial analysis an advantage;
* Excellent spoken and written English;
