The Lead Artist will be based in our Bucharest office and will report directly to the Producer.
Main responsibilities:
- to create art resources for mobile game development
- to lead the art team and to teach, support and encourage the other members of the team.
- Art School (preferably)
- Portfolio (primary selection criteria)
- At least 3 years of experience in the game development field (mandatory)
Essential responsibilities and duties:
Projects – actively participate in all stages of a project life cycle in conjunction with the full project team (design, code, QA, etc). This includes pre-production, game development (accurate estimates, art implemented as requested) and smooth/timely handover into porting. Ensure all project deliverables are maintained to appropriate standards.
Art Creation – understand and apply “best practices”. This includes the creation of the highest quality art assets within the limitations set down by the team. Creating the right quality of assets and understanding the limitations of mobile game development. Working with the coding team to improve the art pipeline and delivering the art at the right time to support the game development. Working with marketing to supply marketing material to support the release of the game.
Tools – be competent in the use of all tools used in the production of art for mobile development. This includes Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and 3D Studio Max. Stay abreast of new tools/technology. Experience in freehand drawing on the computer (characters, environments).
I-play Business Goals – gain an understanding of different I-play business units, their customers, goals, deliverables, and key dates (e.g. roadmap). Be capable of using this knowledge to plan-ahead, assess impact, synchronize & prioritize efforts, and identify red flags.
Mobile Games Expertise – Knowledge of mobile devices, mobile games, and carrier certification criteria, & carrier requirements.

Reporting directly to the Localisation Team Lead, the Localisation testers role is testing of localised Java games for mobile phones to final sign-off with focus on language aspects. In addition the Localisation tester will also provide ad-hoc translations, linguistic review, edit terminology content for given language and string shortenings as required, and control localisation bugs for assigned projects.
