Must have experience with Magento, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS and HTML. This position includes the integration of designs into custom Magento templates. The updates and upkeep of existing sites using WordPress CMS, the installation and customization of extensions. Candidate must be able to work directly with management and be able to respond to client needs for site updates. Projects are both new and ongoing. Candidate must be able to make adjustments to template designs as needed. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are critical.
Candidate must be a self-starter with a preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies. Real-world, Magento development experience -- Developing and integrating customized extensions into Magento applications is a requirement along with the CMS/WordPress experience including MySQL Server. Candidate will work within a small team to code, test, debug, develop fixes and upgrades, and document the design specifications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements and new development as required
• Assist in brand development and strategies for website user interface
• Code marketing campaigns for web, direct mail, etc.
• Maintain Content Management System (CMS) websites using WordPress framework
• Coordinate and provide direction on SEO, PPC, and integration to ERP and other systems
• Understand and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Support Brand managers while maintaining strict project timelines and objectives.
• Executes/Validates test cases for projects on a pre and post production basis.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with coding, browsers, and servers.
Position Requirements • Minimum two years overall web programming experience
• Well versed in the latest PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS coding practices
• Strong focus on front-end design and modern web practices to create efficient user-experience.
• Knowledge of WordPress, E-Commerce Shopping carts and Payment gateways
• Ability to address and quickly fix HTML, CSS and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and platforms
• Experience with Magento shopping cart.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent project management skills.
SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Good understanding of Web analytics and SEO techniques
• Experience with Magento/OpenCart/eCommerce
• PHP, WordPress, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery
• Basic to intermediate understanding of MS-SQL and/or MySQL
• Open source PHP platform like: Drupal, Concrete5 or Magento
• Experience with APIs such as: Amazon AWS, Authorize.net, PayPal, Twitter, Facebook, etc...
• Photoshop skills a plus
• Experience with social media channels
• Project management tools like Basecamp and Dropbox
