We are looking for dedicated and highly talented senior web developer with a proven record of success in delivering projects. On top of your technical skills you have the talent of being a very good people person. Within the first weeks you are recruiting the very best, self-motivated web developers. At the same time you start building Avira's new service platform.
Within the first two months you and your team will rapidly develop a prototype that can go in public beta. From that moment on you will keep 2-weekly release cycles and push out new features and improvements to the users. Your ultimate goal is to have 50 million active users on the platform within 18 months after your start.
One other big focus is the development of your team. You are not afraid to select people better than you and have them naturally follow your direction and vision. Your leadership qualities is what gets the team exited and makes every one walk the extra mile on a daily basis. Your team is the one that is considered to deliver on time - all the time.
As a Manager Web Developer at Avira, you will:
* Deliver on time by juggling multiple competing demands;
* Work efficiently without close supervision;
* Build strong relationships with your team as well as peers

* Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming;
* Adapt and solve exciting problems with new technologies;
* Keep up-to-date with developing technologies and showcase them in your work;
* Understand web application scalability and performance.
* Research and apply new technologies.
Your technical profile:
* 5+ years experience in web application development with Php and MySQL;
* 5+ years experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML;
* Experience with web application techniques like AJAX;
* Strong knowledge of SQL/RDBMS concepts, networking, and system performance;
* Knowledge of NoSQL databases (preferably Apache Cassandra);
* Experience with web frameworks like YII Framework, Zend, CakePHP, etc.
