Within SOCIETE GENERALE’s corporate and investment banking arm, the MARK department focuses on all asset classes including equity, equity derivatives, fx, credit, commodities products and services. The ITEC department is the Information Technology department of SG within the Investment bank. It provides global solution with in house developments and vendor systems to support its operational processes and secure its business growth. ITEC is a worldwide entity spread across Europe, New York and Asia. It is composed of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality assurance and Application Support representatives.
The Market Access team is developing and maintaining exchange connectivity and high performance front office systems. All development are leveraging on a common framework developed in Asia, Europe and Americas.
Increasing demands on the order management system and the data feed distribution architecture implies the implementation new and innovative technical solutions. Those solutions often involve significant manpower, with very diverse technical skills (networking, system, real-time algorithm, market data…). A need for a confirmed developer has been identified in the Market Access team to specify those requirements and manage a very heteroclite pool of business requests.
The RTMA confirmed developer needs to be technically excellent with strong organizational skills. An international experience in a front-office IT department is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will join the Market Access team responsible of
- building high performance applications for various front office businesses (like Arbitrage, Volatility …) or Operations.
- ensuring all data and flows between other sales, trading and settlement applications are maintained
- building sophisticated real-time market data system, from defining the architecture to all process & workflow related aspects
Main roles will be to:
+ Manage each initiatives given by its management from start to end, meaning:
_Gather requirements with the business
_ Produce business specifications documents
_ Implement the project accordingly to the design he will propose
_ Ensure that release management / change management processes are followed
_ Be responsible of the 2nd and 3rd level of support
_ Give clear and consistent reports to the clients and management
_ Assess risks and develop contingent strategies
_ Collaborate with others teams (networking, systems, quality insurance, support, architects, others development teams..).
This person will also have to:
_ Rely on IT best practices to improve quality of his development
_ Participate to the global framework
_ Aptitude to work on different subjects at the same time.
Required/Must have:
Strong object-oriented programming skills
Strong technical skills in C/C++, UNIX, LINUX, client server development,
Strong knowledge on messaging technologies, network protocols, socket programming,
Python scripting
Source control tools
Desired/Plus:
Unit testing tools
Knowledge of CVS

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
Previous significant experience as a C++ developer (at least 3 years)
