Imagine you work for a young at heart software development company. As a member of our Infrastructure Services Team in Bucharest, you will be responsible for our Cloud, Services and Infrastructure at different international locations. Besides your main mission - Keep the systems running! Keep the users happy! Keep improving the services! You will be involved into strategic planning and implementation of our global network infrastructure.
For our Infrastructure team, we need you, a Senior Network Administrator that can work well across groups/functions, can listen well to others and then execute on the requests. Key tasks will include configuring new network equipment and software and provisioning network infrastructure to support customer growth.
Performance objectives
• Starting from day one you will familiarize yourself with the network and infrastructure services within the "Cloud, Services & Infrastructure" department
. • Within the first 3 months you have familiarized yourself with the network on all main locations
• In addition, within the first 6 months you're able to fulfil network adminsitration tasks on all our main locations and the data center.
• A year in the job, you have successfully optimized the BGP of our data center location, consulted the department and other stakeholders on the network setup for the cloud infrastructres and feel familiar with the global network of Avira.
Keys to hiring:
• Advanced knowledge and experience with BGP including routing policy via communities and reachability, inter-AS design and troubleshooting
• Experience with MPLS architectures including layer 3 VPNs, inter-AS connectivity options, VRF route target import and export implementation,
• Advanced knowledge and experience with IGP routing protocols specifically OSPF including design, best practices and troubleshooting
• Experience deploying and supporting L2 network technologies (stacking/spanning-tree)
• Experience with Juniper SRX/MX/EX series
• Knowledge and practical experience with crypto configurations and tunneling technologies
• IPv6 practical implementation, design and support
• Traffic shaping/ Quality of Service knowledge
• Installation, configuration, demonstration, support documentation and troubleshooting of Switch, Router, Wireless, Security Devices.
• Fluent English (verbal and written)
• 3-5 years working experience as a Network Adminstrator
Nice to have:
• Well organized and maintains documentation support for job specific roles and responsibilities
• Soft skills including cross team collaboration, written and verbal skills and establishing strong working relationships
• Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing working environment
• Experience to work with the Atlassian toolset (Confluence, Jira, HipChat)
• Be aware of SDN and how could we benefit from that
