European logistics and supply chain management company is looking for a Pricing and Quotation Specialist to join its office in Otopeni. As a multifunctional logistics service provider, it specialises in delivering a range of customer-oriented, innovative, technologically and operationally advanced solutions in the field of transportation, freight management, logistics and supply chain management.
Key Accountabilities:
Quote to all incoming requests for air and ocean, including tenders and project cargo (project cargo if required) – on time information, updates, prices, solutions, terms to the customers/partners.
Keep close contact and updates the current/potential customers/partner for the change of the terms.
Keeps updated and effectively uses information about the market – ocean & air carriers, agents, rates and tariffs, competitors.
Contacts transport operators, agents and partners in order to receive quotations. When needed, negotiates in order to obtain competitive rates.
Analyses the providers’ quotations and prepares competitive offers in response to clients` request. Searches for their feedback.
Proactively works to close a deal.
Responsible for full and timely data entry in all company reports, sales software – quoted business, communication with customers/partners, weekly reporting, etc.
Proactive actions for reaching the company’s and individual targets.
Contacts customers/partners to propose specific services or promotions.
Works actively with all company divisions for the purposes of attraction of new customers and business volumes.
Communicates with customers/partners and analyses their requests for air& ocean services, searches and provides the best solution.
Strives to provide highest service level in accordance with company’s standards and higher than the industry accepted criteria.
Strictly follows usage of company templates, providers for services, deadlines.
At least 2 years in provision of ocean or air, ideally both, services – operations or sales, preferably both of them.
Very well experienced in pricing & quotation of ocean or air, ideally both services.
Experience with other types of transportation and logistics services is strong advantage.
Working in medium or large scale logistics company.
Competent about ocean / air transport process and services – sound knowledge about carriers, infrastructure of ports/airports, loadings specifics, equipment, respective regulations, operational and sales documentation, INCOTERMS.
Very well aquainted with the local logistics market: services of the suppliers/providers, agents, industry verticals, customers, potential traffics, competitors, tariffs, etc.
Very good knowledge of English – both written and spoken.
Excellent PC literacy – MS Office, business communication, working with specialized software for transport jobs execution (previous experience with software is considered strong advantage).
University degree preferably in Economics, Transport or Logistics.
Customs regulations and customs regimes knowledge.
