Job Description:
You will be the driving force of the software quality assurance activities for Avira Mobile Security Products and therefore contributing towards our high quality solutions. You will be working in an international environment and will be dealing with Product Managers, Project Managers, and other team members from our offices in Europe and Asia. Your challenge will be to continuously strategize and approach testing from various angles in order to balance quality demands and delivery dates.
Performance objectives:
* You will be a member of an agile software development team, whose objective is to develop features for our mobile security solutions. You will be challenged to work in a team which is highly collaborative. You will use your expert knowledge in software quality engineering to actively participate in the full product development life cycle by providing input on design, architecture, estimation and security analysis.
* Starting from the first day, you will work in the team - where the team together is responsible for implementing and assuring the quality of the features for the product. You will test the code base from the very beginning by applying the principle of Agile Testing. You will find the right balance between the automated and manual software testing to ensure product quality remains high.
* You do this by building and maintaining test automation systems and using various testing techniques. At the same time you will be working closely with Software Developers and other Quality Assurance Engineers.
* You will be a proactive team player and communicate effectively to team members and stakeholders. You want to continuously improve on processes, products, knowledge and the team. You will exchange the knowledge and experience you gain to other members on your team, also you will transfer it to new team members that might join the team.
You have a high level of self-motivation and a deep knowledge of software quality engineering. You like to tinker with mobile devices and mobile applications. You also enjoy doing analytical work and on occasion whereby the work might follow the same pattern; you do not lose attraction and still have the focus for details. Furthermore, you have the ability to be solution focused; zero in on problems and solve them by taking the right decision.
