Regional Senior Loss Prevention Expert Occupational Health & Safety - Bucharest
Responsibilities:
- Providing in-depth expertise in relation to Occupational Health & Safety by acting as the senior technical expert and lead within region; acting as a champion and role model for others, providing guidance and advice;
- Developing global, regional and local strategy, policy, internal control frameworks, procedures, standards and awareness for occupational health & safety by working as part of a global group of safety experts. Develop and operate regional level risk management frameworks relating to occupational health & safety;
- Leading the development and revision of processes that contributes to the monitoring of compliance to these strategies and policies at a regional-level; including compliance to regulatory requirements. Responsible for reviewing safe working activities conducted by Field Sales, Service and Loss Prevention teams and making recommendations to ensure safety risks and remedial actions are considered in business development plans and activities;
- Support the Loss Prevention Field Team to resolve issues and find effective and efficient solutions to market risks related to safety;
- Be the key liaison point with relevant regulatory and law enforcement agencies for safety within the market where you are seated and ensure regulatory changes are implemented;
- Lead investigations into serious safety incidents and implement and follow up any recommendations for corrective actions to ensure lessons identified are cascaded in the region and across the group;
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities around safety by ensuring that all training and induction materials are developed in-line with latest regulations and internal policy and ensuring delivery of these materials by planning and scheduling safety awareness, education and training activities for the market - in consultation with HR.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level;
- Qualified as a safety practitioner in accordance with local regulation;
- Previous experience in a senior role in occupational health and safety;
- Experience in designing, implementing and managing safety management frameworks against OHSAS 18001;
- Experience of working in an international or multi-national organisation;
- Delivery of professional development training to other workers;
- Proficient in verbal and written business English;
- Driving license;
- Excellent PC user skills and experience of working with Microsoft Office software (to include PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel);
- This role requires frequent travel – both domestically and internationally - and therefore the ability to travel internationally is a requirement of the role.
