Overall Purpose:
Researches, captures, analyses, tracks and forecasts retail business information and market conditions.
Works in a team under the supervision of a Senior Market Research Analyst.
Key accountabilities:
1. Driving operational excellence
Tracks a panel of global retailers for news, operational and financial data;
• Captures news in short articles on a daily basis;
• Updates database periodically and on request;
• Applies financial forecast models;
Develops detailed knowledge and presents information on assigned key markets, channels, and retailers.
Performs occasional on-field store-visits and summarizes observations in comprehensive reports.
2. Quality Assurance
Adheres and follows the Standard Operating Procedures specified for the process;
Ensures process KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met for his/her area of competency;
Cooperates with the team in ensuring volume and quality targets are met;
Communicates any service delivery issues, deviations or potential delays in achieving KPIs to the manager;
Identifies, communicates and works on personal and team areas for improvement in the process.
Functions as per QMS procedures; Performs Quality Control processes in accordance with set guidelines;
Key Competencies
- Excellent command of German OR French AND English, both spoken and written. (test)
- BA in Economics and/or Political Sciences.
- Proficient in MSO Excel. (test)
- Knowledge of financial terminologies.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Is able to identify and communicate data and insights that are relevant to clients;
- Accurate and detail oriented. Understands and handles numeric data with ease.
- Self starter with high problem-solving skills.
- Disciplined and reliable.
