The Risk Analyst is responsible for reviewing potential and existing customer data to ensure the authenticity of information provided. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying fraudulent activity and mitigates losses to Avangate and their partners and answering inbound telephone calls from our internal and external customers.
The Risk Analyst job consists of:
• Administrating the online and offline orders in the payment interface (order risk-assessment);
• Identify risk and prevent loss from Fraud
• New-business evaluation;
• Handling customer requests via phone or e-mail related to payment process and platform;
• Secure handling confidential information according to internal rules, specific training and compliance procedures.
• Design countermeasures to stop fraud
• Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve any issues of risk or arrears
• Bachelor's Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent;
• Previous investigative (fraud-management) experience required;
• Previous work experience in customer care or technical support (online order experience is a plus);
• Experience with billing, payments, or investigations a plus
• Sound knowledge of Internet technologies such as IPs and cookies
• Sound knowledge of eCommerce concepts is a plus;
• Strong PC skills;
• Flexible, creative person;
• Planning and organizational skills, willing to take responsibilities;
• Focus, problem solving skills, and ingenuity are required
• Experience making quick, high quality decisions on complex issues
• Excellent English (oral and written) communication skills
• Available to work in day and night shifts;
• Clean criminal record
