Sales and Business Development Ocean & Air

RESPONSABILITATI

Adecco Professional& Executive Search division is looking for its Client, an international company in forwarding industry, for a Sales and Business Development Ocean & Air, based in Bucharest.

1.Responsibilities:
✓ Sales and marketing – all services traded by the company
brand;
✓ Target customers group/s: local and international forwarders, movers, customs
brokers;
✓ Services and products to be developed/expanded and promoted: ocean (develop) and air (serve) freight; consolidations (LCL) and FCL;
✓ Operations organize and executes transport order of international transport and related supplementary domestic elements, like but not only: customs, domestic transport, port handling etc.

2. Main characteristics:
✓ Development: Develops the company's capabilities in ocean transport, FCL.
Includes: carriers contacts and update in database; establish local charges and inland trucking for FCL, striving to achieve competitive cost structure.
Updates Ocean Freight Rates and port charges on regular basis via ports:
Constanta, Koper, Rijeka, Thessaloniki, Varna and Bourgas
✓ Develops competitive product for serving West Romania via Adriatic and/or North Continent port
✓ Sales: Selling all company’ products but focus on ocean LCL and FCL; Selling and marketing local services to International Agents, Forwarders and Partners. Maintains International Forwarders database and is responsible for regular mailings as agreed with the management
✓ Networking striving to achieve “customer intimacy”, proactive in using social networks for new customers identification, meeting preparations and promoting company’s services
✓ Operational: Organise the transport as per customers’ orders, striving to achieve efficiency, high quality (service excellence) and higher Gross Profit for the company (spot purchase).
✓ Financial: Timely invoicing and collections from customers and agents
✓ ERP system: knows the company system in details, responsible for the quality of data inserted/captured. Maintains the rates and schedules always uptodate (including competitors’)
✓ Competitive environment knows the competition in LCL and FCL in details, updates data in the ERP, and produce monthly brief to the management and the team
✓ Other: Any duties and tasks coming from the management and related to the job and the company performance.
