- Job holder is to handle the shipments from customers, and negotiate with operators regarding
transport services on domestic and international routes and customs formalities;
- Arrange transportation according to transport orders issued by customers in a profitable manner;
- Stay in touch with carriers;
- Prospect the transport market to identify carriers with best prices;
- Prepare files with all the documents required for transport;
- Knowledge of specific documents necessary to issue transport files;
- Knowledge of import/export and customs operations;
- Achieve profit by when organizing the transport;
- Stay in touch with internal and external customers;
- Execution and tracking of road transport;
Adecco Professional Placement is looking on behalf of its customer, a worldwide transport company (sea, air and trucking) for a Sea Freight Clerk/Customs Broker.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
-Min. 2 years experience in operational handling and/or customs clearances of import and export cargo
by air and seafreight
- Seafreight groupage operations
- Trucking and warehousing
- Customer service/back-office sales
- Knowledge of English writing / speaking environment conversational level
- Basic knowledge of geography
- Resistance to stress
- Negotiation skills in relation to carriers;
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- Initiative and the understanding to solve problems;
- Ability to work with MS Office, Internet.
- Communication skills, negotiation and persuasion;
- Sense of organization;
