For our client, a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and services, we are looking for a Second level Operations RAN Engineer.
The engineer ensures that the ongoing best practices are applied as well as the latest client instructions and is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities. He shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide fault management and fulfillment activities on specific network nodes: BTS/TRC/BSC, NodeB/RNC, E-NodeB.
- Perform preventive & corrective maintenance, work-orders execution, incident & problem management support activities.
- Logging the performed activities in specifically ticketing tools.
- Availability for on-call work schedule, night work.
- Availability for participation in abroad project.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of one or more of: GSM/UMTS/LTE architectures & network topologies & standards.
- Knowledge of access medium technologies: FDMA,TDMA,WCDMA,OFDM.
- Experience of multivendor products: Ericsson, NSN, Huawei, ZTE, ALU is a plus.
- Experience in remote or site operations (design, planning, optimization, integration, acceptance, commissioning, testing, support) of related nodes.
- Often communication with contractors/partners/customers as well as with various internal units and stakeholders.
- Good command in English (writing, speaking, understanding).
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Cost awareness.
- Social skills and awareness.
- The following would be a plus:
o Knowledge of data networking technologies is a plus;
o Knowledge of transport architectures & network topologies is a plus;
o Knowledge of UNIX or LINUX operating systems is a plus
