Executive Search Division of Adecco Romania is looking for a Senior Buyer for one of its partners, global provider of building materials
Job profile
-Participates in the process of defining the company's procurement strategy;
-Participates in defining and implementing procurement policies and procedures;
-Participates in the development of procurement budgets and ensures their optimal implementation;
-Defines requirements for the suppliers (delivery, price, quality, etc.) - inquiry based on forecasted needs of the company or on current needs;
-Establishes the acquisition method: direct or tender;
-Organizes tenders for suppliers and ensures their proper implementation and compliance with internal procedures and policies;
-Carries out market analyzes and identifies existing and / or potential suppliers for defined company services, goods and raw materials needs;
-Manages the database of the assigned suppliers of services, goods and raw materials (history of cooperation, prices, references and products);
-Manages the relationships with assigned suppliers;
-Performs evaluation of suppliers;
-Evaluates the offers received from suppliers on the basis of defined criteria; cost-breakdown-sheets;
-Negotiates general terms, price, quantity and quality of providers within budget;
-Creates contracts based on terms negotiated with suppliers;
-Monitors supplier performance (quantity, quality, terms and conditions) against the signed contract;
-Collaborates with internal clients on acquisitions to ensure proper implementation of contracts and orders;
-Solves problems or deviations from the contract with the supplier and identifies and implements corrective actions;
-Evaluates supplier contracts upon their term;
-Plans and performs audits of suppliers; together with plant support and/or engineering;
-Creates, monitors and modifies purchase orders (PO);
-Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and annual related activity reports or other reports related to his/hers line of responsibilities requested by superiors;
-Actively works on cost reduction initiatives;
-Drives local standardization;
-Actively works on supply base reduction;
-Collaborates with central purchasing.
Education: University degree (bachelor degree in economics is an advantage)
Experience:
-a minimum of 5 years as a buyer
-a minimum of 4 years as a buyer within a production company dealing with all types of services, goods and raw materials
-a minimum of 1 year as senior buyer within a production company dealing with all types of services, goods and raw materials
Competencies:
PC skills: MS Office, SAP - is an advantage
Ability to use foreign languages: English - mandatory, German - is an advantage
