The IT Department of UBISOFT Romania is looking for a Database Administrator to be part of a team which aims at providing a world-class support service to UBISOFT internal and external partners.
Three dedicated teams operate, monitor and maintain UBISOFT's online services game platform from Montreal, Bucharest and Singapore in collaboration with the teams in charge of the network infrastructure and the online products development.
This position requires a pro-active and tenacious individual with strong analytical skills and a service oriented mindset.
Your tasks:
• As part of the geographically distributed Online Operations team, you will be owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, responding to database related alerts and escalations
• Working in collaboration with the technical stakeholders in charge of the online platform development, you will also participate in the design and implementation of strategic solutions targeting high availability and operational sustainability of the UBISOFT's online services
• 4+ years’ experience with online production database;
• Hands-on experience with highly available systems and disaster recovery situations
• Thorough knowledge of MySQL and/or MSSQL with a personal interest in NoSQL DBMS.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues using array of database tools.
• Proficiency in SQL design and implementation (tables, query optimization, triggers, views and stored procedures).
• Good understanding of fundamental online environment concepts and configuration management principles
• Functional English written and oral communication skills.
