This vacancy is for experienced Linux/Networking engineers with background in supporting critical network infrastructure to join our technical teams providing support to major managed-service clients.

• Offering 3rd line support — Investigating and fixing problems escalated from 2nd line support
• Debugging and fixing problems with wide-area and local-area business networks
• Discussing problem resolution with client and internal managers
• Analysing and making changes to infrastructure to improve performance
• Ensuring the correct set-up of monitoring systems
• Maintaining and improving support information and documentation
• Mentoring junior technical staff
• Occasional involvement in installation projects (including travel to other countries)
Match Your Skills
We are looking for intelligent people, who have previously worked in technical roles within an IT-focussed company, with multiple offices and a business-critical international network infrastructure.
The minum amount of experience should be around 2 years on a similar role though we are willing to make exceptions for exceptionally technical people.
The successful candidate will already be in a role where they locate and then resolve deep technical problems, in as many as possible of the following technologies:
• Linux server administration / Cisco IOS LAN switches
• IOS routers and PIX or ASA firewalls
• LAN and WAN IP networks
• IPSEC VPN basics
• Network security
• Network design principles
