This position is offering the chance to act as an active advocate of the external customers and you will have the mission to assure that the software development processes from Freescale divisions are compliant with ISO 9000 standards and SEI CMMI.
To offer specialized support for internal quality positions within each Freescale division following :
product quality:
Drive and facilitate product quality improvement activities
Participate in the development of product quality improvement roadmaps
Participate in defect analysis reviews and provide an independent quality perspective, champion trends and resolution of quality issues
process improvement:
Drive and facilitate process improvement activities
Participate in the development of process improvement roadmaps
To represent Freescale at the local/regional quality events
To facilitate the implementation of the new quality trends – methodologies, techniques, approaches – from the software and embedded domain
To organise and to coordinate internal audit sessions assuring compliance with Freescale standard operating policies
To report and to communicate audit results
To organise and to coordinate the quality management and defect analysis reviews
To maintain the relations with customer quality organisation
To organise and deliver trainings, workshops and presentations on software quality subjects.
- MSc/BSc. University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Automation, Electronics
- At least 5 years experience in software development
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, or related disciplines with overall understanding of the software development life cycle
- Experience with the application of the SEI SW-CMM/CMMI and ISO 9000 standards family
- Knowledge in products and processes measurement
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and teamwork skills
- Fluent English
Experience in the following areas would be a plus:
- Embedded software development & testing
- Agile development methodologies
- Project management
- Statistical process control – Six Sigma for Software
- Tools (requirements management, configuration management, project planning and tracking, static code analysis, testing frameworks, statistical process control)
