Job Purpose:
Our train control team is seeking a smart and passionate software tester with good analytical skills and an ability to think out-of-the-box.
We build safety-critical software applications that allow trains to safely and securely bring passengers to their destination. Our product is conform with CENELEC SIL4 requirements, having a failure rate below 99,999999%.
Job summary:
* Specification of test cases based on requirements
* Implementation of test cases for unit test and subsystem test
* Execution of manual and automated tests
* Support of test environments, tools and simulation
* Test documentation
The development will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts in Austria.
Professional competencies
Education:
* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Transportation or similar degree
Requested technical competences:
* Minimum 3 years experience in testing of complex software systems under usage of technical means like simulators and scripting languages
* UNIX/Linux operating system with its command-line tools
* Knowledge of one scripting language (ex. bash, perl, pyhton)
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in testing of railway applications
* ISTQB certification
* Experience with setup of HW test environments
* ClearQuest or any other bug tracking tool
* ClearCase or any other code versioning system
Personal competencies
* Very good communication skills
* Supportive attitude
* Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
* Team-working
* Solution oriented while being open to embrace new technologies
* Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
* Advanced level of written and spoken English
* German is a plus
