Adecco Permanent Placement is recruiting for one of its clients, a well-established IT Services company, an Senior Systems Engineer.
We are looking for intelligent people whose current job is fixing complex technical problems with a range of Microsoft-based IT services, within a company where IT is very important to the business.
Responsibilities:
3rd line support - Investigating and fixing problems escalated from 2nd line support
Involvement in architecture and project definition
Installation and configuration (including travel to other countries)
On-call support
Attending problem meetings with clients and internal managers
Capacity management
Monitoring and performance improvements
The successful applicants will be highly technical, good team work and able to work calmly under pressure, be quick to learn and have a positive approach; they will need to be one of the top technical problem solvers within their company, as well as being good at expressing their ideas to management, customers, and other technical people.
We are looking for people with at least 4 years’ experience in similar roles though are willing to make exceptions for exceptionally skilled candidates. The successful candidate will already be in a role where they locate and then resolve deep technical problems, in as many as possible of the following technologies:
Mandatory skills (minimum 2 of the following):
Excellent Windows Server System Administration skills
Lync/Skype For Business or Sharepoint
VMware Vsphere 5/6 Professional
NetApp Storage arrays
& will have excellent standard of English language both verbal and written;
Desirable skills:
Microsoft Exchange
Amazon Web Services/Azure
Storage (Fibrechannel SAN and enterprise storage arrays)
Citrix XenApp Server
Microsoft SQL Server
