- Based on personas and other sources of information about target audiences, plan documentation for different products and releases.
- Write documentation following a process that ensures quality and on time delivery.
- Review and provide input to the development team with respect to UI design overall and UI text particularly.
- Manage translation of software and documentation, including vendor evaluation and selection.
- Stay updated on authoring tools to be able to evaluate and select tools appropriate for products, platforms and audience.
- Create and maintain tools and processes necessary to deliver consistent quality, including for example layout, style sheets, definition of writing style, definition of content types, and definition of naming conventions.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within technical writing, preferably for a software company.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Able to comprehend technically complex subject matters and make them understandable to users.
- Understands the importance knowing your audience.
- Highly organized and structured and values planning.
- Values team work.
- Believes in the importance of defining and adhering to standards.
