Responsibilities:
• Establish a strong presence as a change agent providing innovative, effective, and efficient Performance Management practices and solutions
• Evaluate overall system capacity during end-to-end load tests
• Work tightly with application development, architecture, infrastructure and engineering groups for performance testing and application analysis initiatives to define success criteria and evaluation methodologies.
• Design and mentor those in creating best-in-class performance testing approaches and plans for enterprise-wide projects
• Work closely with the test management team to establish performance testing criteria
• Provide insight into performance bottlenecks leveraging a variety of skills and tool sets on multiple platforms
• Work closely with the design team, development team and test team members in order to complete the tasks in time and with the expected quality
• Performance testing requirements and responsibilities:
o At least 2-3 years of previous experience in performance testing
o Understand basic Performance testing Methodology
o Identify performance test scenarios
o Create scripts at least with HP Load Runner
o Run performance tests
o Set up test environment
o Collect performance test metrics
o Analyse test results data
o Provide estimations
o Raise risks and assumptions
o Build performance test approach
o Based on collected data, provide conclusions and recommendations
• Good knowledge of the software testing lifecycle (component integration testing, system testing)
• At least 5 years of previous experience in a testing environment is required
• Experience using HP Load Runner is a must
• Experienced with testing both backend services and user interface
• Ability to understand business and functional requirements and to perform requirements analysis
• Knowledge of SQL language: performing queries, ability to understand SQL code
• Experienced with web services
• Experience in testing Finance and/or Banking applications is a plus
• Customer Oriented:
o Takes personal responsibility for meeting commitments and correcting problems
o Maintains clear communication with customers regarding expectations and time frames
o Asks customers specific, probing questions in order to develop a full understanding of their needs and concerns
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Should possess an understanding of software development and implementation methodologies including waterfall and Agile
• Must possess strong experience using and implementing best practice programs with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modelling tools and statistical analysis
