Main goal is to test graphical user interface applications that are used in the railway field. These applications are part of software systems which take care that train accidents never happen. You will be part of the test team as an expert on our Human Machine Interface. You'll work with experienced testers and engineers focusing on delivery of a high quality safety critical product.
Job summary:
Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, including:
• Plan, design and create automated GUI test suites for Java SE / Eclipse RCP based products running on Linux • Further extend of the current automation framework and ensure reusability, maintainability, flexibility of it
• Closely work with development to solve the findings from test
• Seek out and identify opportunities for further test automation extensions • Encourage the use of appropriate industry standard best practices and processes
• Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress)
• Test documentation

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent science (Automatics, Transportation, Electronics, Cibernetics).
Requested technical competences:
• Experience in manual/automated testing
• Knowledge of at least one interpreted language (Python, Ruby, Perl)
• Linux skills (installation, shell scripting)
• Knowledge of computer networks fundamentals
Would be a plus:
• GUI test automation experience using a dedicated tool (Squish, QTP/UFT, Test Complete, etc.)
• Programming experience
• Exposure to Java SE / Eclipse RCP
• Virtualization hands-on knowledge • Knowledge of defect management tools, requirements management tools, version control software
• Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable (i.e. SCRUM)
