- Operational tasks on the production/test MS SQL databases.
- Optimization of the SQL import pakages/jobs
- Optimize SQL indexes and stored procedures
- Perform the administration and optimization of the systems that are assigning to him/her and assure the availability and the response/resolution times specified in SLAs or in his objectives.
- He/She is primarily responsible for finding solutions, workarounds and/or fixes in order to maintain and improve the functionality of the systems in his/her administration.
- Promote the new applications/systems into production, perform various technical tests on systems and properly install the patches and version releases, following the ING Standards for all the systems implemented and for all the solutions applied.
- Helps the 1st line support officers to prioritize and solve problems related to his/her area of expertise and when a problems that exceeds the 1st line support officers skills occurs, he/she takes over the problem and tries to find a solution.
- Escalates the problems to other lines of support or provider if the case, records the solutions, workarounds and the steps he takes in order to solve the problem in the recording service and notifies the user or the 1st line support when the problem is complete and provides procedures if the case.
- Documents the systems he/she is responsible for and their changes.
- University degree – preferable in computer science
- Preferable 1,5 years experience in IT help desk support SLQ Database Administration
- Preferable 1 year experience of SQL Database Administration
- Strong motivation to work with Microsoft SQL and to achieve/develop practical experience within a complex infrastructure;
- Good English skills (both oral and written)
