Installs and maintains Linux servers both physical and virtual in support of business requirements;
Solves equipment installation and configuration related issues;
Maintains the platforms in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements
Monitors and tunes the systems to achieve optimum level of performance
Creates technical specs and technical support diagrams
Keeps track and documents his/her actions through the internal management tools
Collaborates with Business Development team members for continuous improvement
Assumes ownership, has willingness to take on responsibility and manages projects to completion
Fluency in English.
Experience in design, deployment and maintenance/troubleshooting VMware implementations
Proven experience configuring and supporting VMware VSphere, ESXi
Experience configuring, and supporting shared storage arrays (SAN and NAS), preferably EMC Celerra
Management of Linux in VMWare infrastructure
Knowledge of Clustering (H/A) methodologies and concepts
Database administration experience: MSSQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL
Experience administering Windows 2003/2008 servers
Networking: routing and switching, experience with Cisco Catalyst switches. VPN and Firewalls
Direct experience with the management and maintenance of an IT Service Management systems.
