As a System Administrator for internal projects you will be responsible for making our systems run faster, be healthier so they can serve our company and clients much better.
One key quality for this role will be "problem discovery", by which you will have to continuously look around for better ways of doing current things and to spot hidden problems. One main focus will be in automating recurrent tasks such as deployment, software patches, VM deployments and other.
You will also have to be well organized as your work will impact departments and teams within our company, that involves communicating with many people.
To successfully carry out this job you will need:
- Good understanding of how the web applications work
- Hands on experience in working with virtual machines
- Linux and Windows configuration
- Hands on experience with a scripting language (i.e Bash, Python, PHP)
- Understanding of Cloud concepts
