We’re looking for a highly motivated, self- starter individual with at least two years of experience in LAMP based software as service infrastructure management. The right candidate will have a passion for systems, cloud and web technologies, and will be able to implement and improve robust infrastructure solutions for a range of websites and web applications.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with the development and technical staff to deliver solutions for our customers and internal departments. You will be able to confidently:
• Manage multiple sites and domains
• Troubleshoot and fix critical issues quickly and efficiently
• Work with ticketing system (JIRA)
• Team player and ability to work under instructions
Your Key Projects in this role will include:
• SaaS hosting and trouble shooting , ability to learn large scale deployments
• Optimizing MySql backups and setting up masters-slaves
• Migrating one of SaaS platforms in different locations.
The following knowledge and experience would be desirable:
• Managing multiple servers across different platforms (Linux/Windows)
• Cloud setup (Amazon and Rackspace is preferred)
• HA Proxy, Nginx, Apache, Drupal, Linux, PHP, Version software (SVN, Beanstalk), Windows
• Load-balancers & High Traffic Environment experience
• Rigorous Documentation Standard, for both process and topologies
• Mail Servers/Settings (SMTP/POP3)
• Scripting (*sh, php), and regular expressions
• IP-based protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, Layer-7 protocols)
• Solutions for monitoring running services (Zabbix)
• Relational databases (MySQL) & non-relational databases (MongoDB)
• Linux system architecture
• Supporting Drupal-based websites
• ITIL processes including transition and release management
• Knowledge of Webservices/API architecture considered a plus
• Capistrano/Webistrano knowledge considered a plus
• Solr Search knowledge considered a plus
• Composer Server knowledge considered a plus
