Role Purpose:
To provide transactional procurement support to the Procurement category teams to aid the delivery of category strategies.
Specifically to provide support in the following areas: requisition screening in line with category preferred suppliers, requisition approval, purchase order transmission, master data management, catalogue management, ensuring purchase orders refer and align to contracts where they exist, and user/vendor query resolution, spot buying/tactical sourcing, reporting.
Role may be aligned to specific spend categories, but will have responsibilities that span all categories and will be expected to be adaptable to any category.
Skills / Knowledge /Experience:
Advanced:
Expected to build a knowledge of Category Plans over time and contribute to category planning.
Foundation:
Excellent customer Service skills.
Core:
Basic understanding of contracts, and procurement policies and procedures.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Able to conduct research, resolve conflicts, and effectively manage time and work.
Experience:
1-5 years of experience in operational procurement or sourcing
Systems - IT (SAP) knowledge, particularly requisition to PO process, supplier add and Catalogue Management. Sourcing tools such as Ariba, Other tools such as HubWoo or similar
Experience in direct or indirect material/services purchasing and supplier database management.
Systems Experience:
• SAP / SRM
• Ariba / HubWoo or simlar
• MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
