The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing technical support and advice at client site throughout all technical stages of TEMENOS products implementation projects. The Technical Consultant focuses on solving basic technical problems but is exposed to more complex problems and works under supervision from more senior consultant/manager.
Responsibilities:
• Specialize in one or more of the following technical areas:
o Technical architecture and best use of TEMENOS Client services tools;
o Configuration of TEMENOS products or interfaces with the products, according to the definitions supplied,;
o Data migration and related activities;
• Support in setting up the technical architecture and tools of the TEMENOS Client Services;
• Assist with the definition of additional standard enhancements that need to be developed;
• Undertake any development activities that may occur during the implementation such as additional specific functionality, interfacing to external systems, or conversion programs to be built;
• Install custom enhancements and validate technical setup and conduct necessary testing to ensure user acceptance and global quality of the solution delivered;
• Assist with the setting up of a production environment and on the running of the products including database administration;
• Provide clear and concise technical documentation for internal and external use;
• Provide regular update and feedback to project supervisor on implementation success, potential delays and technical problems that could arise so as to help achieve goals;
• Travels 80% of the time;
Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with a minimum of three years of experience in software technical consultancy and T24 implementation in a banking environment;
• Technical knowledge: INFOBASIC, JAVA, ORACLE 9 (or above) operating systems, knowledge and familiarity with the functionality of UNIX, AS400 and NT, particularly disc structures. Exposure to mainframes.
