Managing a team of quality engineers/analysts who are tasked to identify, develop, create and improve technical testing process/frameworks;
Ensuring the proper manual and automated test cases/scripts/test infrastructures are in place, testing is conducted based on the AS Testing Methodology, with deliverables aligned to the Quality Gates;
Being responsible for ensuring that all projects produce at least ‘Bronze’ level testing deliverables and test metrics as defined on the company's methods and as required by the Credit Risk IT Strategy;
Managing, testing Initiatives for complex projects (test planning and designs);
Providing input to the project plan/release plan, defect/change management processes, systems integration, testing tools and processes;
Managing both in-house and vendor testing teams by ensuring clear alignment with the domain based development teams;
Monitoring performance of testing activities and reports on testing progress, defects, risks and issues;
Identifying areas of weakness to existing procedures, continually implement new procedures, and assess risk of impact from changes to projects;
Collaborating and coordinating test activities with vendor, IT, and business users across countries and time zone;
Aligning various different testing models across organisation and introduce consistent formalized testing best practices, moving from ‘detecting defects’ to ‘preventing defects’;
Assisting IT application team in achieving quality product by identifying defects and deficiencies early and providing MIS for continuously improving the development and testing process;
Realizing end-to-end environment management and support for all test execution.
5+ years experience in software development, testing and support with minimum 3 years in hands-on testing and 3 year of test management experience;
Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies;
Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution;
Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures;
Automated testing tools;
Knowledge of white/black box level testing, system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools;
Experience with defect and change tracking, producing performance metrics and providing MIS;
Experience in quality-related process implementation such as CMMi especially for testing best practices
