- Responsible for implementation, administration, maintenance, upgrade and monitoring of UNIX environment;
- Ensures stability, integrity, reliability, security and availability of the AIX production and disaster recovery environment;
- Cooperates with DBAs and software developers;
- Responsible for the UNIX environment backup;
- Responsible for troubleshooting and solving problems in an U NIX environment and for creating support documentation for the AIX system infrastructure;
- Installs OS upgrades/patches and manages hardware upgrades.
- Technical or scientific degree/diploma;
- Certification in UNIX administration is an advantage;
- Strong experience with IBM AIX 4.x-5.x (at least 3 years of experience);
- Basic knowledge of backup and recovery technologies;
- Basic knowledge of networking;
- Performance monitoring and analysis skills;
- Experience with Linux is an advantage;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
