- Responsible for the analysis of specific customer requirements, business use cases, test considerations and Epics/User stories for a Collection software product and for translating those requirements into an effective user interface design;
- Specific responsibilities will include user research planning and execution, personal development, and user needs identification. The Usability Engineer must also be prepared to offer consulting support to application business owners as they identify requirements for new designs, create proposed solutions and suggest methods for optimizing existing content/information;
- Designing and creating mockups, and prototypes that provide configurability and extensibility in a flexible solution that can evolve with future business needs;
- Ability to ensure that the system and functional design approaches are consistently applied across the solution, presenting a consistently cohesive and effective user interface;
- Coordinating and communicating customer requirements as usability requirements internally to the development and test teams;
- Effective communication skills to discuss business requirements with product management and to internal and external customers;
- Ability to discern patterns, leverage existing usability/design work;
- Understanding of Agile processes and development of requirements from Business Use Cases to Epics to detailed User Stories;
- Expertise in estimating, planning and refactoring software development and design initiatives;
- Working closely with the business analysts to align feature priorities across the project
- Produce clear and complete user interface design requirements;
Minimum of 3 years continuous full-time experience in a usability engineer or analyst role, including the following responsibilities:
• Gathering and analyzing end user data;
• Personal development;
• Understanding and documenting user needs and goals;
• Developing research plans, conducting performance-based usability test and design walkthroughs, and reporting outcomes;
• Carrying out expert reviews and/or heuristic evaluations;
• Conducting remote usability studies;
- Thorough understanding of interface design and usability principles and best practices, and the ability to speak confidently to the specifics and benefits of the User-centered Design process;
- Ability to influence business partners and colleagues through effective leadership and demonstrated expertise;
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills in English and Romanian;
- Effective teamwork, organization skills in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Deadline and detail-oriented;
- Fluent in English;
